How to address flood risk

Flooded cars and roads in the city

We look forward to welcoming you to the next National Consortium for Societal Resilience [UK+] (NCSR+) ‘How to… communities’ webinar held jointly with the Resilience Beyond Observed Capabilities Network+ (RBOC+).

Flooding is a frequent and severe risk faced by many people and places. Our recent engagement with local community resilience groups indicated that flooding is among the top issues on which they would like to learn more about.

This webinar will focus on flood prevention and response and how communities can self-help to address flood risk.

Date: 2nd June 2025, 4.30pm-6.00pm (UK time)

Our speakers

  • Carol Raeburn, Director, Scottish Flood Forum
  • Emma Thomson, National Community Flood Resilience Advisor, Environment Agency
