This work package focuses on understanding and developing the technologies and innovations necessary to enhance the UK’s national security and resilience. It aims to ensure the country can effectively respond to and recover from various threats.
Aims and Objectives:
- Cyber Threats: Address the increasing frequency and impact of cyber attacks on businesses, organisations, and civil society.
- Technological Investment: Highlight the importance of investing in technology to support national security, defence, and resilience, and demonstrate the benefits of such investments.
- STEM Engagement: Inspire students in STEM fields to contribute to the future of national security and resilience.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with a broad range of stakeholders, including those involved in UKRI investments, to support research aligned with national security and resilience.
- Innovation and Capacity: Understand the role of innovation in delivering successful defence and security projects and programmes, and assess the capacity needed to meet future demands.
- Policy Support: Provide evidence to support policymakers in making informed decisions about funding priorities in defence and security.
This initiative seeks to build a robust framework for national security and resilience, leveraging technological advancements and fostering collaboration across various sectors
