SALIENTcast, our podcast series exploring community practice and perspectives related to security, resilience and risk.  

SALIENT is a devolved funding hub that supports interdisciplinary, human-centred and systems-based approaches to security and resilience challenges.  

Through SALIENTcast, we share accessible conversations with people whose work connects with these themes.  

Our first podcast, is with Molly Ralphson, a Community Volunteer Coordinator in the Yorkshire village of Trawden. In response to proposed closures of local amenities and places for the community to gather such as the Village shop, Community centre, and the local pub, Community members got together, fundraised, bought, or took over the management of these essential places.  

We want to know more about this resilient group. Keep an eye out for publication in early November 2026
